Redwood, UT : Utah man in critical condition, portion of Redwood Road closed after crash on Thursday, 11th August, 2016

A 58-year-old man was in critical condition after a crash on Redwood Road on Thursday afternoon.

The Draper man was turning left onto Redwood Road from 9180 South. It appears he was supposed to yield to traffic, said West Jordan police officer Scott List. He was T-boned by a sedan traveling north on Redwood Road about 2:45 p.m.The man, the sole occupant in the car, was transported to a local hospital, where he is expected to survive, List said.

The sedan's 18-year-old driver, from West Jordan, suffered minor injuries.

All lanes of Redwood Road were closed from 9000 South to 9400 South to clear the wreckage. The road reopened about 5:15 p.m.Police were investigating whether the Draper man was going too fast or aggressive driving played a role in the crash.
