WILMINGTON, NC : Car crashes into tree near Market Street hotel on Wednesday, 5th October 2016

Officers with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating an incident involving a car hitting a tree in the parking lot of a hotel on Market Street.
Officers responded to the accident at the Budgetel Inn Wednesday morning around 3:30.
A woman was found injured at the scene and taken to the hospital.
Police tape was up and there was a heavy police presence at the scene until about 7:30 a.m.
