Charlotte , NC : Two people climb to safety after car crashes into Charlotte pond along Albemarle Road while trying to pass another car on Friday ,March 13th 2015

Two people climbed their way to safety after their car crashed into a Charlotte pond.

Charlotte Fire officials say two cars collided before one ended up in a body of water on Albemarle Road Friday around 11:30 p.m.

This all started when authorities say the car in the pond was trying to pass another car.

Fortunately, the two people inside the car were able to make it to land before dive crews got on the scene.

There was damage to the front bumper of the other car involved but no injuries were reported from the scene of the accident.
