Authorities in the Arizona town of Sedona say a fourth person has died after a crash caused by a driver who fatally shot himself behind the wheel.
Sedona police say 29-year-old Swapna Ponnambalam (SWAHP'-nah poh-NAHM'-bah-LAHM'), of Phoenix, died Tuesday at Flagstaff Medical Center.
Ponnambalam, her husband and her mother were traveling on state Route 89A Sunday when a car driven by 48-year-old Ross "Scott" Willoughby crossed the center line.
Willoughby's Jeep Cherokee struck the family's Toyota Prius head-on.
The Coconino County medical examiner determined Willoughby died when he shot himself before the crash.
Police say 33-year-old Moorthy Somashundarum (MOR'-thee SOH'-mah-suhn-DRAH'-mah) and 66-year-old Bhuvaneswari Ponnambalam (bhoo-vuh-nays-vuh-ree poh-NAHM'-bah-LAHM') died at the scene. The mother was a resident of India.
