BALLSTON SPA, NY : Gansevoort man headed to prison for DWI crash on April, Thursday 6th 2017

A Gansevoort man who drove into a stopped car on the side of a highway one night last August and fled the crash scene was sentenced Thursday to up to 3 years in state prison.

Joshua W. Noll, 28, of Greylock Drive, pleaded guilty to felony vehicular assault and felony driving while intoxicated for a crash that injured a passenger in the car he was driving. Police said he was driving on Route 50 when he drove into a car whose driver had stopped to change a flat tire.

A passenger in his vehicle was hurt, but Noll fled the crash scene and was found nearby a short time later.

He was found to be intoxicated, and had a prior DWI conviction that resulted in multiple felony charges being filed.

Saratoga County Judge James Murphy sentenced him to 1 to 3 years in state prison.
