SALT LAKE CITY,UT : A deadly crash in the Rose Park neighborhood of Salt Lake City on Monday, 3rd July 2023

Detectives were on-scene at a deadly crash in the Rose Park neighborhood of Salt Lake City early Monday morning, where 1000 North was closed for several blocks.

Investigators with the Salt Lake City Police Department were analyzing what they said appeared to be an intentional hit-and-run, according to witness information.

Public information officer Sgt. Mark Wian said a 61-year-old man was riding a scooter through Rose Park around 1 a.m. when a car went out of its way to hit him, leaving him dead.
