Warren, NJ : 16-year-old student struck, killed in crash on Route 78 in Warren on Saturday, February 7, 2015

State police say a teenager from China was killed when she was struck by a tractor-trailer on a northwestern New Jersey highway.

Sixteen-year-old Lizhi Hao was struck around 3:15 a.m. Saturday in an eastbound lane of Route 78 in Warren Township. Authorities say she was a student who was staying in the township, and her family in China has been notified of her death.

It's not clear why Hao was in the roadway.

No other injuries were reported in the accident, which remains under investigation.
