PIEDMONT, SC : Pedestrian dies in hospital following crash in Piedmont on Thursday, 14th March 2024

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said a pedestrian has died after being hit by a car Thursday morning.

According to troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash took place on US-25 near Sandy Springs Road at 7:17 a.m.

A Nissan sedan was traveling north on US-25 when it hit the pedestrian.

Troopers said the pedestrian was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he passed away. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the pedestrian as 46-year-old Joshua Hawthorne of Piedmont.
