NORTH HAVEN, CT : Middletown Avenue in North Haven closed after crash on Thursday, November, 2nd 2017

Middletown Avenue was closed in both directions near Quinnipiac Avenue Thursday afternoon after a blue car struck a utility pole.
The area wasblocked off by yellow tape and police cruisers. Autility pole toppled over among a sea of downed wires.
Emergency personnel responded to the accident around 1:20 p.m. Witnesses on scene said the female driver of the vehicle didn’t appear to be seriously injured but was taken to an area hospital in an ambulance.
Emergency crews on scene worked to restore power to surrounding businesses and residences. The United Illuminating Co. said 33 customers had power outages related to the accident.
