FREEBURG, IL : Collinsville woman killed in crash on Thursday, 23rd January, 2020

A Collinsville woman was killed Thursday morning when her vehicle collided with a semi between Freeburg and Fayetteville.
According to Illinois State Police Trooper Joshua Korando, Tyra S. Boyd, 28, was driving a Nissan Sentra westbound on Illinois 15 just south of Pleasant Ridge School Road when she collided with a 2019 Kenworth semi tractor with a trailer driven by Neal D. Pollard, 48, of Marion, at 10:46 a.m. Thursday.
Korando said Boyd drifted into oncoming lanes and struck the semi head-on. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Clair County Coroner’s office. Pollard was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries.
