Fenton, MI : Semi hauling pickles crashes into Owen Road overpass on Thursday, 26th December, 2019

At 1:28 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 26, Fenton police and fire departments responded to a semi truck hauling pickles

that caught fire at the Owen Road overpass of southbound U.S. 23. Fenton Township Fire Department responded with a tanker.

The highway and Owen Road were shut down while firefighters extinguished the flames. Motorists were urged to avoid the area.The driver of the semi, a 63-year-old Jackson man, was able to get out of the truck and was treated for non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
