Tahlequah, OK : A Vinita man died in a Cherokee County motorcycle crash at State Highway 10 on Tuesday , April 19th, 2016

A Vinita man died in a Cherokee County motorcycle crash Tuesday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Dakota Lamountain, 20, died from injuries suffered about 3:15 p.m. on State Highway 10 about 3 miles north of Tahlequah.

Lamountain was driving the motorcycle south when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the highway. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He was wearing a helmet.
