Louisville, KY : One dead after car crash in Park Hill neighborhood on Friday night, September 9, 2016

Police are investigating a car accident in the Park Hill neighborhood that left one person dead Friday night.

The driver of a pickup truck died after veering off the road at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Dumesnil Street and hit a house in the 1200 block of Dixie Highway, said LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley.The accident was reported around 9:30 p.m., and the driver was declared dead at the scene.

Smiley said the home was vacant at the time and had minor damages from the crash. The driver was the only passenger in the car.
