Bakersfield, CA : One person dies in traffic collision on Taft Highway on April, Sunday 9th 2017

One person died in a traffic collision Sunday afternoon on Taft Highway, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to the CHP, a semi-truck, car and pickup were involved in the crash, near highways 119 and 43.

As of 4 p.m. Sunday, the status of the other two drivers was unknown.

Westbound Highway 119, just west of Highway 43, was closed. The CHP said it will reopen shortly. Eastbound Highway 119 was open as of about 4:25 p.m.
