Stoddard County, MO : Driver dies, 2 passengers injured in Puxico crash on Monday, August 29, 2016
Highway 51 south of Puxico is back open after a deadly crash investigation.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero was going southbound on MO 51, about 1 mile south of Puxico. They say the car ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree.
The driver, 64-year-old James D. Fingers, of Dexter, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:25 a.m. by Stoddard County Coroner Kenny Pope.
Two passengers were also injured in the crash.
According to the crash report, 48-year-old Cheryl L. Marlow, of Puxico, was seriously injured and airlifted to a St. Louis hospital.
A 53-year-old Puxico man, Jody L. Marlow, was also seriously injured and taken by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
