TOLEDO, OH : Crash sends two to hospital knocks out power in area of Monroe Douglas on Friday, 5th July 2024

An early morning single-vehicle crash resulted in the loss of power for thousands and sent two people to the hospital Friday.

Shortly after 2 a.m., the vehicle struck a power pole just to the west of Douglas Rd. on Monroe St.

According to a police report, the driver, a 23-year-old woman from Sylvania, and a three-year-old passenger were taken to an area hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.

The crash caused 1,600+ customers in the area lost power.
