Sacramento, CA : Man killed after crashing car into tree in Sacramento County on Tuesday, June 14, 2016

A man was killed after crashing his car into a tree in Sacramento County, the California Highway Patrol said.

Authorities have identified the man as Perry Moore, 50, of Ione, officials said.

The crash happened about 4:25 a.m. Tuesday on Scott Road, north of Latrobe Road, officials said. Moore was traveling southbound on Scott Road when he drove off the roadway and crashed into an oak tree, killing him instantly.

Alcohol was not a factor at this time, according to officials,.
