Wellesley,MA : Two face criminal charges following Wellesley head-on crash on April, Thursday 5th 2018

Following last week’s car crash on Weston Road at Central Street in Wellesley, two of the three drivers involved are being summonsed to Dedham Distrct Court on three criminal charges each.

According to Officer Kevin Joseph of the Wellesley Police Department, two vehicles -- a Toyota sedan and a Mazda sedan -- were involved in a head-on collision around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 5.

The driver of the Toyota said he had a verbal altercation with a security guard, who approached him while he was unloading some tools from his car in the parking lot that runs behind 60-71 Central St. and was told to leave the property, reported Joseph.

Joseph said, the security guard did not believe the driver of the Toyota worked for a Central Street business because he had not seen him before.

According to the driver, he was verbally threatened by the security guard, which is why he got into his Toyota and left.

The driver and the 82-year-old female passenger of the Mazda told Joseph they were traveling north on Weston Road when they were struck by the Toyota, which was traveling south in the wrong lane.
