St. George, UT : Thousands raised for southern Utah teen in coma after ATV crash on Sunday, November 2, 2014
Well-wishers have raised thousands of dollars for a southern Utah teenager who's in a coma after a weekend ATV crash.
The Spectrum reports 16-year-old Britton Shipp was injured when an off-road vehicle he was riding hydroplaned on a puddle.
Shipp's father, Jesse Shipp, says the vehicle flipped and threw off the teen and his 15-year-old classmate.
The girl suffered a leg injury, while Britton Shipp was airlifted to Dixie Regional Medical Center and remained in a coma through the weekend.
The two teens were participating in a daytime event associated with Snow Canyon High School's annual Sadie Hawkins dance.
A website set up TO RAISE MONEY for Shipp's care had raised more than $7,000 by Monday morning.
