ENOCH, UT : 1 dead after rollover crash on southbound I-15 near Enoch in Iron County on Friday, 2nd August 2019

A Parowan man died after a rollover crash on I-15 in southern Utah early Friday morning, authorities said.

The crash took place just after 4 a.m. on southbound I-15 near Enoch in Iron County, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The man's car, a 1994 Mercedes-Benz, drifted over the white line on the right side of the road, according to a UHP news release. The man overcorrected and crossed both southbound lanes, UHP said. The car went into the median and rolled.

The driver, who was the only person in the car, was fully ejected from the car and died at the scene, UHP said. He was later identified as Daniel W. Haynie, 55, of Parowan.

It is not clear if he was wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
