LOUISVILLE, KY : 1 driver killed in fiery crash on I-64 West near Portland on Sunday, 14th July 2019

All westbound lanes of I-64 near Portland are blocked due to a death investigation.

A vehicle broke down in the far left lane of the highway around 5 p.m. Sunday. Police said the vehicle was stopped just beyond a curve and was rear-ended by another vehicle.The disabled vehicle caught fire with the driver inside. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
