Aiken County, SC : Man killed in Aiken forklift accident on Thursday, 12th December, 2019

A forklift operator in Aiken was pronounced dead by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.

Coroner Darryl Ables said his office was called to ALCS Inc. on the 1500 block of Edgefield Highway in reference to a workplace death. An investigation determined the man became entrapped in the forklift as he was driving it to move some equipment.

He was pronounced dead at the scene from traumatic injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday. The man’s name has been withheld until family is notified.
