Loveland,CO : 2 killed, 2 injured in head-on crash in Fort Collins on February, Sunday 11th 2018

An adult and child were killed and another child and adult injured in a head-on crash in Fort Collins on Sunday.

The driver of a 2005 Pontiac Vibe sedan was headed west on Harmony Road when the vehicle crossed over the center lane and crashed head-on into an eastbound Chevrolet truck, according to information from Fort Collins police.

The driver of the sedan died at the scene and two passengers, both children, were rushed to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland with serious injuries, police said. One of the children died at the hospital, and the other child was still being treated, according to information from police.

Neither the driver nor passengers' names have been released pending notification of family.

The driver of the truck, 42-year-old Brian Sauer of Fort Collins, was taken to Poudre Valley Hospital with what police described as moderate injuries, after the 11:40 a.m. crash on Harmony Road near the intersection with Hinsdale Drive, not far from Front Range Community College.

He had been driving east in the left through lane, police reported.

During the investigation, Harmony Road was closed for about five hours between Larkbunting Drive and Starflower Drive. Investigators, who are still working to determine the cause of the crash, used an unmanned aerial drone to map the scene of the crash.
