Bethel ,VT : Motorcycle driver and passenger suffer severed limbs in crash on Tuesday afternoon ,July 14th 2015

A motorcycle driver lost his foot and his passenger lost her leg when a car crossed the centerline and struck them, authorities said.The incident occurred on Camp Brook Road in Bethel just before 2:30 p.m.

Vermont State Police said Gustavo Chang drifted into oncoming traffic and struck Dale O’Keefe and Lisa O’Keefe, who were on a Harley Davidson.

Dale O’Keefe was taken to a hospital. Lisa O’Keefe had to be airlifted to a hospital.

Chang suffered a minor cut on his arm.

Vermont State Police are investigating and charges are pending.
