King County, WA : Motorcyclist killed in Renton collision on Wednesday, July 20, 2016

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday when he struck a car that pulled out in front of him as he crested a hill on a Renton street, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff spokeswoman Sgt. Cindi West said the motorcyclist was headed east on Southeast 128th Street in the East Renton Highlands neighborhood around 1:30 p.m. when the car pulled out from 175th Avenue Southeast. West said the motorcyclist was unable to stop.

The motorcyclist crashed into the car and the motorcycle burst into flames, she said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

West said it appears the motorcyclist may have been speeding.
