Delaware Bend, OH : Sherwood man injured in crash on south of the Defiance-Paulding County Line Road early Tuesday morning, June 28, 2016

A Defiance County man was injured in a one-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning south of here.

Jeremy Schroeder, 35, Sherwood, was taken from the scene by Parkview Life Squad to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, where a condition update was unavailable.

According to troopers of the Ohio Highway Patrol's Defiance post, at 1:06 a.m. Tuesday, a pickup truck driven by Schroeder was southbound on the Bend Road, south of the Defiance-Paulding County Line Road. The truck left the roadway and struck a ditch embankment.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage.
