Bus involved in crash near Danville High School

A school bus was involved in a wreck near Danville High School.It happened aground 7 a.m. Tuesday on Danville Road in Morgan County when a student driving a car turned in front of the bus that was carrying 23 5th to 12th graders.
Danville Middle School and Danville High School administrators were on the scene along with the Morgan County Schools Transportation Director.
Morgan County School System Superintendent Billy Hopkins said there were no serious injuries. MedFlight was called to the scene as a precaution, but they did not treat anyone.

Hopkins said 10 students were taken by ambulance as a precaution. Three were taken to the emergency room by their parents. The bus driver was also treated at the hospital as a precaution.
School officials said the bus driver and students practiced an emergency evacuation drill to prepare for this kind of accident on January 14th.
