York, PA : Four people injured after car crashes into Springfield Twp. home on Tuesday afternoon, December 20, 2016

Four people were hurt Tuesday afternoon after a car they were in crashed and rolled over into the front of a Springfield Township home, according to fire and police officials.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. The vehicle was believed to be traveling south on Reynolds Mill Road when it crashed near Ranch Road.

Fire police shut down a large section of Reynolds Mill Road for at least three hours as Pennsylvania State Police investigated.

The car came to rest on its side directly at the front of a two-story, stand-alone home. It was unclear if anyone lived in the home or was home at the time of the crash. It was also unclear exactly how much damage was done to the home.

Both York County 911 and Pennsylvania State Police said the call was for a vehicle into a home. John Livingston, a deputy fire chief with Goodwill Fire Company, said the vehicle rolled over and one person was ejected from the car.

All four occupants inside were taken to a local hospital by ambulance, police and fire officials said.

Andrew Strayer, who lives nearby, said he heard the crash and rode his bicycle over to see what happened. He said some occupants of the car were sitting by the home's garage before ambulance crews arrived.
