Pueblo, CO : 18-year-old Pueblo woman was seriously injured in a single-car crash on Tuesday, October, 17th 2017
An 18-year-old Pueblo woman was seriously injured in a single-car crash that occurred at 11:21 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 50 at Otero County Road 22, about 3 miles east of Rocky Ford, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Jovanna Sisneros was headed east in a 2005 Ford Focus, when the vehicle drifted over the left fog line. The vehicle swerved to the right, overcorrected back to the left, then struck a median embankment and overturned end-over-end one time coming to rest on its wheels facing north.
Sisneros was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected during the roll, according to CSP trooper Dan Gilmore. She was transported to Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta, then airlifted to a hospital in Colorado Springs.
CSP is continuing the accident investigation, however, alcohol and drugs are not being considered as factors in the crash.
