Phoenix, AZ : One killed in multi-vehicle crash on Loop 202 in Phoenix Saturday afternoon on September 13, 2014

A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon after crashing into a car on Loop 202 near 24th Street, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said. The motorcyclist failed to slow down as traffic was beginning to back up, DPS officers said. He clipped one of the cars and was tossed from his motorcycle. Officers said he was not wearing a helmet. Authorities performed CPR, but the man died. They said his helmet was in the storage box of his motorcycle. The crash blocked several lanes of the freeway, but it's now clear.
