Columbia County ,FL :Police chase in Columbia County ends in car crash on Wednesday night ,August 12th 2015

A 43-year-old driver was not injured following a police chase and car crash Wednesday night in Columbia County.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a police chase that ended with a crash on State Road 247 at Southwest Kirby Avenue. The incident happened around 11:15 p.m. at the Windsong Apartments.

A Columbia County deputy was pursuing a 1999 Ford four-door when the driver turned off his lights, hit the shoulder, spun and flipped the car.

Troopers said the driver, Christopher Jones of Lake City, was not injured.
