NORMAN, OK : Police investigating double fatality crash in Norman on Tuesday, January, 9th 2018

Police are investigating a double fatality crash Tuesday afternoon in Norman.

The crash was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. near 60th Avenue Southeast and State Highway 9, officials said.

A preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle traveling east on SH 9 crossed the center line and crashed head-on with another vehicle traveling west, according to a news release. The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene.

The drivers have been identified as Steven Arms, 59, and Marlene Sites, 78.
