Lincoln,NE : Lincoln man killed in I-80 crash near Kimball on may, monday 8th 2017

A Lincoln man was killed Monday on I-80 near Kimball when his car ran into a concrete bridge pillar.According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Robert J. Brunsman, 48, was eastbound about 22 miles east of the state line, when he bypassed construction barriers and drove on, although the road was closed.
The Subaru left the right side of the highway and hit a concrete bridge pillar, spun around and rolled, NSP spokesman Lt. Col. Thomas Schwarten said.

Brunsman was thrown from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash occured around 1:35 p.m. MDT.

The Kimball County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation, Schwarten said.
