WYOMING, IL : Toulon motorcyclist dies in crash with semi on Friday, 16th October, 2020

A Toulon man was killed Friday night when his motorcycle hit a semitrailer as it was leaving a farm field along Illinois Route 17 just west of Wyoming, Stark County authorities said.

Alex B. Brady, 35, was pronounced dead by Chief Sheriff’s Deputy and Deputy Coroner Chuck Demetreon at 8 p.m. at the scene of the crash near the intersection of Route 17 and County Road 975E, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Department.

Brady’s motorcycle hit the left side of the semitrailer as it pulled out of a field entrance and he was thrown off, the release said. The driver of the semi, Rucker Meaker, 64, of Wyoming, was not hurt.

The accident remains under investigation and an autopsy will be performed.
