HAYMARKET, VA : Landscaper killed in crash with school bus in Virginia on Wednesday, 23rd May 2018

A landscaper has died after being hit by a school bus in northern Virginia.

Prince William County Police say the incident occurred Wednesday morning on Old Carolina Road in Haymarket. No students were on the bus at the time.

Investigators say the man was standing behind a landscaping truck in a reflective vest setting up a sign when he was struck by the school bus.

The victim was identified as 53-year-Eusebio Joya Castro of Aldie.

The driver of the landscaping truck, a 62-year-old man from Chantilly, was taken to the hospital after rescuers pulled him from the cab.

The bus driver, a 57-year-old woman from Front Royal, also was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
