Several people were taken to hospitals after a Monday afternoon three-vehicle crash on Rimrock Drive in Hamilton Township.
A Buick Century was heading south on Rimrock Drive when it hit a northbound Harley Davidson trike and then a Mitsubishi Galant behind the trike, witnesses said. The Buick came to rest in the middle of the road while the trike ended up off the northbound shoulder and the Mitsubishi was knocked down an embankment.
Blue Ridge Hook & Ladder Fire Company, St. Luke’s and Regional ambulance companies, state police, Tittle’s Towing and DC Towing responded. Firefighters had to extricate one of the injured from the Mitsubishi, which sustained the heaviest damage.
A medical helicopter was requested, but was unable to fly due to weather conditions. That area of Rimrock Drive was closed temporarily and then reopened after the scene was cleared.
