DORAL, FL : 1 dead after rollover crash on Palmetto Expressway in Doral on Tuesday, 8th September, 2020

At least one person has been killed after a rollover crash on the Palmetto Expressway.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene in the southbound lanes near Northwest 36th Street, Tuesday.

7SkyForce HD flew over the scene where traffic in the southbound lanes have been backed up all the way to the bend in Miami Lakes and possibly beyond.

According to officials, it was a single-vehicle crash where an adult female driver with a Mercedes SUV was heading southbound, but she lost control, hit the inside wall and got ejected from the vehicle, which rolled over several times and landed on its roof before it landed on her.

The female driver was pronounced dead on the scene, and she was the only person inside the vehicle.

Crews could be seen lifting the vehicle out of the lanes.

Crews also opened up two lanes of traffic.
