A Monday afternoon motorcycle crash on Interstate 495 sent two people to area hospitals and temporarily closed both sides of the highway to allow for a medical helicopter landing.
According to Fire Chief Gary Ryan, the Fire Department responded to I-495 northbound at exit 35 at 3:26 p.m. Monday for the accident.
The male driver was treated for serious trauma injuries and transported by medical helicopter to a Boston-area hospital, Ryan said. The female passenger, believed to be the driver's wife, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, he said.
