Pasco County, FL : Wrong-way driver arrested after struck another by vehicle on State Road 54 in Pasco County on Thursday, February 19, 2015

A 52-year-old New Port Richey man was arrested Thursday night for driving under the influence after he was spotted driving the wrong way in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Anh Thanh Do, who was driving a 2006 Lexus, was charged with driving under the influence and driving in the wrong direction, FHP said.

Just before 10 p.m., FHP Tropper Javier Hernandez saw Do heading east in the westbound lanes of State Road 54, FHP said.

As he was driving just west of Old Mill Pond Drive, Do almost crashed into a vehicle. He then tried to make a U-turn. Before he completed the turn, Hernandez initiated a traffic stop and pulled the Lexus over.

Do was booked into the Pasco County Jail, FHP said.
