Bonnie Saviers of Reno was killed in a Friday morning car crash.
The Reno Police Department said Saviers, 73, was turning left at about 7:47 a.m. in her Mini Cooper from Brittany Meadows Drive to go west on Steamboat Parkway. She was hit by a black Nissan pickup traveling east on Steamboat Parkway.
Saviers was well known in Reno. She was married and had a daughter and grandson.

She was the marketing director for the Washoe County Library System from 2004-2011 and also had worked for the Washoe County School District and Sierra Pacific Power Company.
"Bonnie always put her heart into whatever she did," said friend Kathy Carter. "Whether it was her profession, serving her community or spending time with her friends and family, she always showed great compassion and love. She leaves behind many heart-broken friends."
Saviers died at the scene, police said.
The two occupants of the Nissan pickup are juveniles and their names are being withheld.
It was unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision but the accident is under investigation.
