Hutchinson County, TX : Car driver killed after colliding with a semi truck near Borger on Wednesday, July 6, 2016

Authorities say the driver of a passenger car was killed after colliding with a semi truck on a Texas highway Wednesday.

The name of the deceased driver has not been released.

The crash happened on SH-152 between Borger and Skellyton around 5 p.m. A portion of the highway remains closed Wednesday evening.

Sergeant Dan Busing with the Texas Department of Public Safety said the two vehicles nearly crashed head-on. Troopers remain on scene as of 7 p.m. assessing the damage.

Busing also acknowledged the possibility of other occupants being involved.
