Westerville man was taken to hospital due to his vehicle crashed into light pole

A 56-year-old Westerville, Ohio, man was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight on Tuesday night after he crashed his vehicle into a light pole off Interstate 70.

According to Ohio Highway Patrol, Douglas Foulks was headed east on I-70 when he drove off the right side of the interstate near South Charleston Pike and hit the pole at about 7:45 p.m. His vehicle then overturned and came to rest on its wheels, off the roadway.

Foulks's condition was not immediately known.

The accident closed the right lane for about an hour. Clark County sheriff's deputies and Springfield Twp. Fire/EMS assisted the patrol.

The crash remains under investigation, according to the patrol.
