Benson, VT : NJ man killed in Benson crash on Monday, November 28, 2016

A New Jersey couple was involved in a deadly crash in Benson.

It happened just before 10:30 a.m. Monday. Police say 74 year-old Doris Leffler of Sparta, New Jersey, was driving south on Route 22A when she lost control, hit some trees and rolled her car. A passenger in the car, 74 year old John Leffler, also of Sparta, died at the scene.

Doris Leffler was taken to the Rutland Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Police say both occupants were wearing seat belts.
