ATLANTA, GA : Two people killed in a crash evening in East Point on Monday, 4th September 2023

Two people killed in a crash Monday evening in East Point have been identified as Morehouse College students, according to the school.

The crash happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Linwood Avenue and Church Street. Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said the car was speeding when it passed another car on a curve before leaving the road. That’s when investigators said the car hit a utility pole and rotated before hitting another utility pole and overturning.

Hugh Douglas and Christion Files Jr., both Morehouse College juniors and Business Administration majors, were killed in the crash, according to the school.
