Fort Collins, CO : Windsor girl ID'd as passenger killed in ATV crash on April, Sunday 2nd 2017

The Weld County Coroner's Office has released the name of a Windsor girl who died after an ATV wreck near Severance on Saturday.

Sophia St. Amant,13, was a passenger in an ATV with two other girls riding near the intersection of Weld County roads 76 and 25, just outside of Severance.

The ATV crashed into a water-filled ditch around 5 p.m. Saturday. Two of the girls on the ATV got out, but St. Amant remained trapped.

Emergency responders got her out, conducted CPR and took her to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, where she died around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Weld County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash. It appears the ATV rolled into the water when it went over a canal embankment, according to a Weld County Sheriff's Office news release.
