A truck driver has been charged in a crash that trapped a car between two trucks Tuesday morning. Joseph Corns, 60, of Barberton was charged with assured clear distance after he hit a truck and a car at Indian Hollow Road and state Route 18 around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol. Richard Conrad, 55, of Grafton, was driving a dump truck eastbound on state Route 18 and was making a left-hand turn onto Indian Hollow Road when Corns drove up behind him in an Enterprise truck, according to Ohio State Patrol troopers. Corns hit Conrad’s truck and bounced off just as a van traveling westbound on state Route 18 got trapped between the two trucks. The force of the crash pulled the side panel off Corns’ truck. Victoria Miller, 67, who was driving the van was treated and released from University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center for minor injuries and troopers determined Corns was at fault for the crash.
