YAZOO COUNTY, MS : MHP investigating fatal two-vehicle crash on Saturday, 12th October 2024

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash.

A press release says the incident happened at 2 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 49 near Castle Chapel Road in Yazoo County.

According to MHP, a 2015 Honda Accord traveling north on the southbound U.S. 49 collided head-on with a Chevrolet Suburban, causing the Suburban to become engulfed in flames.

The driver of the Honda Accord, 20-year-old Javiya Myles of Bentonia, died at the scene.
