A crash on Interstate 95 caused two drivers to be thrown from their vehicles Saturday night, killing one of them, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Southbound traffic on the highway was shut down for hours after the 7:07 p.m. crash, officials said.
Ronald Griffin, 53, of Miami Gardens was pronounced dead at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, according to Sgt. Mark Wysocky.
The driver of a second vehicle involved in the collision near the Hallandale Beach Boulevard exit on southbound I-95 was identified as Marlene Bernal, 35, of Lakeland, Fla.
She was listed in serious condition Sunday at Memorial Regional Hospital, officials said.
