Corsicana,TX : A wreck leave one dead, three injured on June, Sunday 11th 2017
Two separate crashes left one man dead and three injured Sunday evening in Corsicana.
A motorcycle wreck killed Michael Anthony Coaster, 50, around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of 800 N. Bunert St. and 1200 W. Roane Rd.
According to Texas Department of Transportation crash reports, Coaster was traveling northbound on Bunert St., when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a parked car.
He was ejected and the motorcycle continued about 30 feet and struck a metal building.
He was deceased when Corsicana Police and Fire Rescue arrived and there were no witnesses to the crash.
Jackie Freeland, Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace, requested a toxicology screening to be performed at American Forensics in Mesquite.
A head-on collision with a tree injured three men a little before 8 p.m. in the 4400 block of Park Row Blvd. near the intersection of Hidden Hills Dr.
According to TxDOT crash reports, the three men were headed west when the driver, Matthew Ramsey, 26, swerved to miss a dog in the road.
The car struck the dog but lost control and went off the road into a tree, according to the dog owner and witness.
All three occupants of the car were injured including passengers Phillip Martin Steele, 42, and Joshua Hopgood, 27.
Ramsey and Hopgood were airlifted to hospitals in Dallas and Steele was transported by ambulance to Navarro Regional Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
