WRIGHT COUNTY, IA : 1 killed in Wright Co. car crash on Sunday, 8th March, 2020

A 23-year-old man is dead following a one-car collision on Sunday morning in rural Wright County, according to a report from the Iowa State Patrol.Jose Gabriel Velasco Cruz, whose place of residence was not released by the State Patrol, was traveling west on 270th Street approximately five miles east of Eagle Grove, when his 2009 Dodge Charger “failed to negotiate a curve,” according to the report.

The vehicle then vaulted from the roadway and struck a tree, killing Velasco Cruz.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
